What you will have an opportunity to do:

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and facilities are clean, safe, and maintained to the highest standards. This position leads housekeeping staff, manages schedules, monitors inventory, and ensures compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure guest rooms, public areas, offices, and common spaces are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to ensure quality and cleanliness.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping team members.
• Develop and manage employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Monitor inventory levels and order cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment as needed.
• Manage department budgets and control costs while maintaining service quality.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns, requests, and complaints.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Collaborate with maintenance and front office teams to address operational needs and room availability.
• Maintain housekeeping records, reports, and departmental documentation.
• Implement and enforce housekeeping policies, procedures, and service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
