The firm is seeking a Trust & Estate Planning Attorney with 5-10 years of experience to join its growing practice in Bethesda, Maryland.

Position Highlights
- 1,650 annual billable-hour requirement, designed to support a sustainable work-life balance.
- Hybrid work flexibility: The first 90 days are fully in-office to support onboarding and integration with the team. After that, the position transitions to a hybrid schedule of approximately 7-10 days in the office per month, with the remainder of the time available to work remotely.

Responsibilities
The attorney will advise individuals, families, and business owners on a variety of estate planning and wealth-transfer matters, including:
- Drafting and reviewing wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, advance medical directives, and related estate planning documents.
- Advising clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax considerations.
- Developing sophisticated estate planning strategies tailored to clients' financial and family circumstances.
- Counseling clients regarding wealth preservation and succession planning.
- Working closely with clients, financial advisors, accountants, and other professional advisors.
- Managing client relationships and matters from initial consultation through implementation.
- Contributing to the continued growth and development of the firm's trusts and estates practice.
- Developing and expanding a personal book of business with the support of the firm.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of substantive trust and estate planning experience.
- Strong knowledge of estate planning concepts, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and wealth-transfer strategies.
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong client-service orientation and ability to develop lasting professional relationships.
- Ability and desire to develop a book of business over time.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters independently.
- Maryland bar admission preferred or required, as applicable to the position.
