Digital Annotation Expert

Hourly Contract | Remote | $16 per hour

About the Role

Mercor has partnered with a leading AI research lab to enhance multimodal machine learning, enabling AI systems to better understand and interpret images, audio, and video.

We are seeking detail‑oriented freelancers to review and evaluate short multimedia clips. Your work will directly contribute to improving the accuracy, reliability, and performance of advanced AI models.

This is a short‑term, fully remote opportunity with flexible working hours — ideal for individuals who value independent, focused, and impactful work.

Key Responsibilities

• Review multimedia content (audio, images, and videos) to ensure quality and consistency.
• Evaluate and compare AI‑generated outputs, selecting the best results according to provided guidelines.
• Provide annotations and tags to enhance data quality and benchmarking.
• Follow structured evaluation procedures to maintain reliability and consistency across reviews.

Ideal Qualifications

• Fluent in English (native or near‑native proficiency).
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong written communication skills.
• Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and meet quality metrics.
• Self‑motivated, organized, and comfortable with repetitive tasks.

Engagement & Schedule

• Fully remote and asynchronous — work when it suits your schedule.
• Short‑term contract position with variable task availability.

Compensation & Contract Terms

• Rate: $16 per hour (active task time).
• Payments: Weekly through Stripe Connect.
